Can my child bring a cell phone to school?

I recommend that students do not bring cell phones, or any other electronic device to school.  We cannot insure these items will not be stolen or broken.  If there is an emergency situation requiring a cell phone, parents need to contact school and  students need to  turn the phone into the office at the beginning of the school day and pick it up at the end of the day.

My child wants to ride a bike to school. What are the rules for bike riders?

Students are encouraged to ride bikes to school.  If your child does ride a bike to school please review bike safety rules and practice the route to and from school.   All students on bikes should walk their bikes in the crosswalks, in front of the school, and on the playground.  Please have your child wear a bike helmet when riding a bike!   No scooters or skateboards are allowed.

Drop off/Pick up Procedures

AM Procedures
School start time is 8:30.
Breakfast will be served at 8:15-8:45.

Students who are dropped off should go directly to the playground.

PM Procedures

Students who are picked up inside the building will be dropped off in the lobby area.  Parents should enter the building through the front doors. We ask that you do not report directly to the classroom and wait in the lobby- your child will walk down to you.
Walkers will be assigned a supervised walking line. Students who are picked up outside the building will report to a Parent Pick Up Line located outside the main office. Students will be escorted out of the building by a staff member.

Bus riders will line up in the front hallway and will enter the buses in the front circle.

Reminders:
Parents are encouraged to park in the parking lot by the soccer field or on the street.
Do not enter the parking lot adjacent to Bongey, as students are crossing and our after school club students are often dismissed to that area.  IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO HAVE VEHICLES IN THAT AREA DURING DISMISSAL.
